  • acting for the Minister for Home Affairs in over 100 migration and citizenship proceedings;
  • assisting government clients with the drafting and negotiation of a broad range of technology contracts, including in relation to hardware acquisition and installation, SAAS, XAAS, data migration, telecommunications, managed services, development services, systems integration and software support services;
  • advising the Department of Defence on some of Australia’s largest and most complex Defence projects across the Land, Sea and Air domains;
  • representing Commonwealth entities in freedom of information merits and judicial review proceedings, including in relation to a ‘vexatious applicant’ declaration under s89K of the FOI Act;
  • acting in Research and Development Tax Incentive Scheme proceedings and complex anti-dumping litigation for the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources; 
  • advising the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in relation to complex regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings;
  • advising Commonwealth regulators in relation to the exercise of compliance and enforcement powers; 
  • assisting Commonwealth entities with Royal Commissions and Coronial Inquests; 
  • advising on secrecy and confidentiality provisions in Commonwealth legislation; 
  • advising Commonwealth entities in relation to administrative decision-making, including statutory interpretation; 
  • preparing privacy advice and Privacy Impact Assessments for various Commonwealth entities; and
  • acting for Comcare in administrative review proceedings before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Federal Court of Australia.
